Booking Terms
Deposit
A 50% deposit confirms your date and is non-refundable. The date is not reserved until the deposit is received. A signed agreement and the deposit together confirm a booking.
Cancellation
If you need to cancel, the amount retained depends on how much notice we have:

Large events require earlier commitment of staff, sourcing, and calendar, and are subject to the extended schedule above.
Rescheduling
You may reschedule once at no charge with more than 30 days' notice, provided the new date falls within six months and is available. Your deposit transfers to the new date. Additional reschedules are treated as cancellations under the schedule above.
If we cancel
If we cancel for any reason other than a force majeure event, all amounts paid, including the deposit, are refunded in full, and we will make every effort to refer you to a comparable chef.
Force majeure
Neither party is liable for failure to perform due to natural disaster, extreme weather, public health order, government restriction, or serious illness or injury of the chef. We will work in good faith to reschedule, and your deposit transfers to the new date.
Travel & service area
Based in Palm Desert and serving the Coachella Valley, with travel up to 400 miles. Travel beyond the immediate valley may carry an additional fee, quoted in your proposal.
Insurance
S27 LLC is a licensed business, fully insured, and ServSafe certified. Certificates of insurance are available on request for venues that require them.
Privacy
What we collect
When you submit an inquiry we collect the details you enter: your name, email, phone number, event date, location, guest count, event type, budget range, and any dietary or event notes you choose to share. If you take the Ayurvedic assessment and ask for your results, we collect your email address and your answers.
How we use it
To respond to your inquiry, prepare a proposal, plan your menu, and (if you opt in) send occasional seasonal notes. That's it.
What we don't do
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. We do not share it with third parties except the services required to run the business (email delivery, scheduling, and payment processing), each of which receives only what it needs.
Your choices
Every email includes an unsubscribe link. You can ask us to delete your information at any time by writing to michael@cvwchef.com, and we will do so promptly.
The assessment
The Ayurvedic assessment offers general guidance on food and cooking. It is educational and is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. If you have a health condition or dietary concern, please talk to a qualified healthcare provider.
